YUME HOSPITALITY GROUP

YUME Hospitality Group was founded by local award winning Chef, Saran “Peter” Kannasute, and Jeff King, a local developer and restauranteur in the Washington, D.C. area. The two partnered with a like-minded vision to expand Chef Kannasute’s modern non-traditional Japanese style, one that is centered around the best ingredients spun into creations boasting unexpected flavors and combinations.

YUME Hospitality Group's first concept, YUME Sushi, opened in Arlington, Virginia in 2018. Since its opening, Kannasute’s non-traditional omakase has earned a dedicated following throughout the region.

YUME Hospitality Group is currently expanding to the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. in early 2023 with its flagship restaurant, KYOJIN. KYOJIN will feature sushi in the signature boundary-pushing style of Kannasute along with izakaya offerings, spirit-driven cocktails, and a curated selection of sake. The entire menu is meant to be shared, echoing the fun, sexy vibe the restaurant embodies.  The 4,700 square foot space is located in Georgetown’s Cady’s Alley.

The team also plans to unveil an exclusive, reservations-only omakase experience dubbed The Counter in spring 2023. Seated at a 10 person chef’s counter, customers will enjoy an intimate dining experience that is meticulously curated by Kannasute. The Counter welcomes guests with an open mind and an adventurous palette, ready for a luxurious tasting menu prepared with the finest ingredients sourced from Japan and all over the world.
